The St. Vincent de Paul Center provides an integrated educational and residential support program for homeless men who are drug and alcohol-free and committed to becoming self-sufficient and attaining permanent housing. We provide hope and opportunity in a loving, faith-based environment to both the unemployed and underemployed through:
  • Safe, affordable, monitored, transitional or permanent supportive housing in our 39-unit, single-occupancy residential/educational facility
  • Long-term case management services to coach and hold them accountable towards reaching their goals

  • Intensive individual life skills counseling in areas such as personal finances, housekeeping, personal hygiene, meal preparation and nutrition, conflict management and personal accountability.

  • Vocational counseling and education opportunities leading to improved career opportunities

  • Assistance in locating safe, affordable permanent housing

  • Referrals to other appropriate support agencies

Clients are accepted only through a referral by one of Montgomery County's Gateway Shelters.

Participants pay 30% of their adjusted gross income as a monthly fee. Housing includes electric, gas, water, sewer and trash pick-up. Participants are responsible for their own phone bills.

Once graduates become self-reliant and obtain their own housing, they will continue to work with their Case Manager and may utilize the St. Vincent DePaul Center's educational and counseling services. And, many return to encourage and inspire current students with their success stories.
