Volunteer Opportunities at the St. Vincent Hotel

Daytime

Basket Person: Volunteer assists the morning staff with guest baskets. Daily - 6:30a.m. – 7:30a.m.

Breakfast Server: Volunteer serves previously prepared and/or planned breakfast to guests and CLEANS UP afterwards. Daily - 6:00a.m.- 7:30a.m.

Front Desk: Volunteer answers and directs phone calls, greets hotel guests, distributes mail and phone messages, answers front and back doors and accepts donations. Daily times available 9:00a.m. – 6:00p.m.

Cleaning: Individuals and groups assist in periodic and regular cleaning including sweeping, mopping, washing down walls, stairwells and kitchen(s). Daily – 9:00a.m. – 4:30p.m.

Dry Storage: Volunteer organizes and arranges food, cleaning supplies and paper products in storage area. Daily 9:00a.m. – 4:30p.m.

Sorting Room: Volunteer sorts incoming donations. Monday thru Friday, 9:00a.m. – 4:30p.m.

Clothing Room: Volunteers place previously sorted clothing in the clothing room. Mondays 12:30p.m. – 2:00p.m.

Laundry: Volunteers assist in drying and folding linen-laundry. Daily 9:00a.m. – Noon.

Kitchen: Volunteer works closely with STV employee to manage food use and preparation. Monday thru Friday 9:00a.m. – 11:00a.m.

Evenings

Basket Person: Volunteer assists the evening staff with guest baskets. Nightly - 7:30p.m. – 8:30p.m.

Dorm Asst(s): Volunteer assists with bed assignments, distributing personal care items and helping with clean-up and assists in kitchen when additional servers required. Nightly 7:30p.m. – 10:00p.m.

Dinner Server: Groups take direction from Guest Attendant on duty. Volunteers serve previously prepared and/or planned dinner to guests and CLEAN UP afterwards. Nightly - 7:30p.m. – 10:00p.m.
