Safe Haven provides transitional housing that is not time specific for adults who are chronically homeless and have a mental health diagnosis that is severe enough to cause difficulties in maintaining housing.  It is a Housing First program provided in collaboration with YWCA of Dayton.  St. Vincent de Paul provides housing for 13 men and the YWCA Dayton provides housing for 12 women.  Through Safe Haven, clients are provided with:

 

  • Safe, supportive, transitional housing

  • An environment conducive for growth that encourages positive change

  • Long-term case management

  • Nutritious meals

  • Mental health, recovery, life skills, physical fitness and religion/spirituality groups

  • Clothing and personal care items as needed

  • Assistance and encouragement in receiving help from other appropriate agencies
