For many in our community, life has been harder on them than others. Some times their circumstances are due to bad choices. Often it is the result of a troubled childhood. And for some, their troubles are perpetuated by health issues.


St. Vincent de Paul provides a safe harbor, a helping hand, and for those who are committed, proven programs for turning their life around. Their path to self-sustainability is guided by the passionate, knowledgeable team of case managers pictured above.


For single mother Kathy, her infant son’s illnesses resulted in mounting medical bills and the loss of her job as a nurse. Today, she has a healthy son, a new job and the tools to manage life’s obstacles. Treavon changed his life from being homeless at 18 to pursuing a psychology degree at UD and being a mentor for young men. Antoine received the help and direction he needed to recover from bad choices he made following his mother’s sudden death — becoming debt-free with a new career in IT.
