About Supportive Housing

St. Vincent Supportive Housing is a transitional housing program that can provide 22 homeless families and four single women with housing and comprehensive case management services for a period of up to two years. Referrals to our program come from area emergency homeless shelters, treatment centers, and other transitional housing programs. Aftercare follow-up is available for a period of two years.

Because participants come to us from shelters, it is necessary that we provide all necessary household items including furniture for kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. Successful graduates from our program may take those furnishings with them to their permanent housing.

During their stay in our program, an action plan is established to address each participant’s needs and may include such goals as money management, life skills training, mental health counseling, education, employment, and permanent housing. Action plans include the support necessary for each individual’s success.

The program pays for all utilities, including DP&L, Vectren, water, sewer, and trash.
